“Seth material” search engine (Jane Roberts)

(Ray Van Over is leaving the Parapsychology Foundation sometime soon to launch his own business, which involves publishing. He was naturally concerned about the success of this venture, in which he was involved with others. Seth told Jane to tell him that the venture should be a successful one. There was some related data here that I did not make notes on. Then Jane, speaking for Seth, gave the initials W C, as those of a person very involved in Ray Van Over’s publishing venture.

(This is the first time Jane held two sessions in one day, even though both were relatively brief. This second session is also unique in her experience, and promises well for the future. The witness other than myself was Mr. Raymond Van Over, associate editor of the Parapsychology Foundation of 29 West 57th Street, New York, NY 10019.

(Jane and I left F. Fell’s office, where the 360th session had been held, at about 11:45 AM, with an appointment to meet Mr. Van Over at about noon. He had a very few minutes for us before leaving his own office to keep an appointment. At his office Jane was informed that a phone call awaited her from the Alan Burke TV show; a Mr. Shapiro was on the line at that moment. Jane spent some fifteen minutes explaining to him why she did not want to be on the Burke show.

[...] I have mentioned the discarnate Van Elver in most recent sessions. In the 424th session of July 29, Seth said Van Elver, whose portrait I have recently painted, left a mental message for me; to the effect that I shouldn’t use sepia with too heavy a hand.

(“Anything from Van Elver?”)

[...] “Van Elver and the use of sepia.”)

[...] For peace is active (to Sheri, Rick and Van Zandt.) And so if there is any message that I have for your students, as usual it is not a quiet one. [...]

(Van Zandt, who earlier had said he doesn’t use Florida citrus juices, was relating Seth’s comments about Anita Bryant to Jane.

([Van Zandt:] “Good for you.”

(On June 27 Jane had received a letter from Tam Mossman at Prentice-Hall, requesting information on Dr. Instream, Dr. Bernard, both psychologists; and on Ray Van Over. [...]

Ray Van Over has scarcely met me. [...]

[...] Today Jane wrote to Gene Bernard and to Ray Van Over re statements. [...]

(Not long after these sessions began, several years ago, Seth told Jane and me that the three of us had experienced lives in Denmark in the 1600’s. Ever since then I’ve thought my interest in the art of Western Europe for that same period, embracing the work of Rembrandt and Vermeer, Van Dyke, and Rubens, et al., more than coincidental. [...]

A connection with Van Elver, though I am not sure of its extent.

(I’ve painted a portrait of Van Elver, who is the fourteenth-century artist [Danish or Norwegian] from whom Seth receives information on painting techniques.^*)

(My first question about Van Elder shook her up a little, she said. The Van came through clearly. [...]

(The Van Elder name was not specifically familiar to me, although it could be said to have a familiar sound. [...]

Now Van Over, in answer to your question, was telepathically aware of Bernard’s letter, and understood it. [...]

Our friend the artist (Van Elver; see the data last session regarding sepia) is not available this evening, but if you make the point of reminding me before sessions, I will see that we get more information for you.

There are times when various circumstances are correct, and when these occur messages from your artist friend (Van Elver) come in very strongly, and often suddenly. [...]

(Notes: On December 2 we were visited by a group of Jane’s students from NYC – Richie, Ricky, Sheri, Jerry, Jeff, Van Zandt, etc. [...]

[...] He was also stalked by people in vans with antennae—they wanted to clone him.

The latest of course is the fear of cloning, but our young man does better than any fear-mongers, for he has the personal cloning people in their eerie vans with antennae, chasing him through the streets. [...]

[...] Above, Seth refers to the brief session Jane held in the coffee shop of the Paramount Hotel in New York City, for Raymond Van Over of the Parapsychology Foundation. In this little session she spoke with Seth “just below the surface” in a crowded room, without attracting attention, and delivered for Raymond Van Over some excellent data which he verified on the spot. (Several years later Jane gave me another gift—a book on the artist Rembrandt van Rijn. [...]

[...] Seth then gave the artist’s name as Van Elver, saying he was from Norway or Denmark and that he was giving Seth painting data to be passed along to me.)

(Jane said that she saw the scene with Van Elver, as she described it to me; including his self-portrait. [...]

[...] It was a different type of session, unique in Jane’s experience and was witnessed by myself and Raymond Van Over of the Parapsychology Foundation. [...]
